A SHAMBLE is a type of golf tournament that combines both the elements of a scramble with elements of stroke play.
1. Each team will record their score on a single scorecard. Each player’s name and membership number will appear on the scorecard.
2. The team captain has the final say on any decision the team makes.
3. All players tee off from the blue tee blocks and each player will hit his own ball.
4. After each player has hit, the team will likely select the ball with the most favorable position and mark this position. Then all team members will take their next shot from the marked position.
5. From this point, the hole is played out at stroke play, with all members of the team playing their own ball into the hole.
(i.e.: select the best shot off the tee, move all balls to that spot, then play individual stroke play until each member of the group has holed out.)
6. Scores for each player on each hole will be recorded on the scorecard and score of the player whose drive is used will be circled.
7. A minimum of THREE (3) tee shots for each player by the team must be selected.
8. Scoring is based on the best (lowest) three NET scores per hole.
(i.e. the worst net score will be dropped.)
9. WARNING: There are no GIMMEES!! All team members MUST PUTT OUT.
10. All other golf course rules apply.
1 11. Before submitting, scorecards must be signed, attested by another team member & dated.
12. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in disqualification.
13. If your team has only three players see your Club Captain for the THREE (3) man team rules.
1. One player of the three will play a second ball from the tee to the hole.
2. The player to play the second ball will be in the sequence as shown on the following Chart:
