TWO Person “RYDER CUP” Challenge Match
1. Teams will be selected on the tee box. The player with the lowest handicap factor will be partnered with the player with the highest handicap factor to form the first team. The remaining two players will be partners for the second team.
2. Each team will record their score on a single scorecard and each player’s name and membership number will appear on the scorecard.
3. Scores for each hole will be recorded on the line of the player whose drive is used.
4. The player with the lower handicap or a player chosen by the team will be designated the team captain. The team captain has the final say on any decision the team makes.
HOLES 1 – 9 : 2 MAN SCRAMBLE
All players will tee off from the blue tee blocks and each player will hit his own ball.
After both players have hit, the team will select the ball with the most favorable position and mark this spot. Both team members will take their next shot from the marked spot. This applies to fairways and greens and will be done until the ball is holed.
A minimum of 4 DRIVES must be selected for each player of the team and indicated beside the players name on the scorecard.
HOLES 10 – 18 : ALTERNATE SHOT
Beginning on HOLE #10, players will alternate shots. Player “A” will tee off on the even number holes and Player “B” will tee off on the odd number holes. If Player “A” hits the drive, Player “B” will hit the second shot, Player “A” the third shot and so on until the ball is holed.
RESULTS :
The foursomes will be split up into President’s and Captain’s 2-man teams.
Each Match is worth a possible 3 points, - 1 point per section (9 holes) and 1 point for winning the match. If a section is tied each team will receive 1 point.
