Tombstone Tournament
1- Procure a cross in the clubhouse. Put your name, number & your total stokes allowed on the tape & affix to the cross.
2- Add 58 to your current handicap to determine the number of strokes you will be allowed.
3- Keep a running total of your score and when your score equals the number you have calculated above, place your cross where the ball comes to rest and continue with your game.
4- If you run out of strokes in the following positions:
Ball Rests Placement of Your Cross
a. On a green ------------------ On the side of the green parallel to the position where the ball comes to rest.
Note; Write the approximate distance from flagstick on the tape of your cross and on your score card.
b. Holed out -------------------- At the back of the green (Write “holed out” on your cross & your score card.)
c. Out of bounds -------------- At the point from where the ball was hit out of bounds
d. Penalty stroke -------------- At the place the penalty stroke was taken
e. Lost ball ---------------------- At the point where the ball was hit before being lost
Note; Place the cross to the side of the tee if “c” to “e“ occurs on a tee box.
f. In water hazard ------------- At point of entry into the water hazard
g. In the rough ----------------- At the edge of the fairway an equivalent distance from the flagstick
5- After placing your cross complete your game.
6- If you complete your game and still have strokes left over report to the pro shop and they will put you out on the first tee to continue. Play until you have used all your strokes.
