Four Person “9 Hole X-Country” Best Ball Scramble
RULES: Four (4) Man Team
1. Each team will record their score on a single scorecard and each player’s name and membership number will appear on the scorecard.
2. Scores for each hole will be recorded on the line of the player whose drive is used.
3. The team captain has the final say on any decision the team makes.
4. All players will tee off from the blue tee blocks and each player will hit his own ball.
5. After each player has hit, the team will select the ball with the most favorable position and mark this position. Then all team members will take their next shot from the marked position. This applies to both fairways and greens and will be done through the hole.
6. A minimum of TWO (2) tee shots must be selected for each player by the team.
7. Should a player drop out before the round is completed, the group will play as a threesome from the last hole completed by the four. A remaining player will hit a second ball through the hole. The player to hit the second ball will be in the sequence of player 1 on one hole, player 2 on the next hole and player 3 on the following hole and then the sequence will be repeated to the end of the round. All drives selected for the withdrawing player will be counted. His remaining drives will be selected from the second ball hit by the remaining players. The drives for the remaining players will be selected from the first ball hit only.
8. When putting, the first ball down counts. There are no GIMMEES!
WARNING: If you miss your putt, mark your ball, and give your partners a chance to drop their putt. If you tap in before your partners putt, it counts as a stroke and your partner’s potential one-putt is wasted.
